Works as advertised July 7, 2009 C. Yang (NYC) 37 out of 39 found this review helpful
I was skeptic of MS mouse products after using few earlier models. I'm Logitech converted. I use a G9 for my desktop, that's simply an amazing mouse. However, this bluetrack tech has me blown away. It works virtually on any surfaces that you would use for a mouse "pad" the build quality is great, I love the two side buttons and the rubber grips. Its comfortable and stylish (be aware that the stock pix is misleading, the blue light does not show around the mouse)
Flawless...so far July 15, 2009 Ryan Roger Taer (Sanford, Florida) 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
I admit I am quite new to the BlueTrack technology so I do not know what to expect. However, I have not been disappointed. I have a tinted glass table as my temporary workstation and the BlueTrack works fine on that. The mouse itself feels sturdy and the micro receiver is quite convenient (even smaller than the receiver of Logitech VX Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Black)).

br /My only complaint is that the mouse finish is very glossy so it is quite a fingerprint magnet. I would have preferred a somewhat matte finish. I was also disappointed that it didn't come with a carry case. They should include even just a simple cloth drawstring case to protect the mouse while it is bouncing around in my bag.

br /I've been using it on my Macbook Pro for only a few days so I cannot comment on its durability or longevity.
over all a good portable mouse June 28, 2009 Johnny Hays (Stillwater, OK) 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
Pro: Very samll usb plugin, where you can plug it in and forget about it, prob sticks out less than a quarter of an inch. I like the design and look, it also fells pretty good in your hands, rubberish sides with plastic top. Oh yea, the mouse works on pretty much any surface, just as if it was on a mouse pad, I use it on my bed covers all the time with no problem.

br /Cons:plastic shiny top is a finger print magnet. The two buttons on the side are placed to far up and foward. I would prefecr a mouse that has a quiter of a click, since it can be annoying for others in class.

br /Overall this is the best mouse i have ever owned, I would recommend this to any laptop owner, but would consider others if your looking for a desktop mouse.
best, but could be better June 26, 2009 carlo (los angeles, ca) 8 out of 11 found this review helpful
$40+ dollars is a lot to pay for this mouse. first of all, the mouse felt light and somewhat fragile. built quality is nice but i'm afraid i'd crack it if i ever sat on it by accident. secondly, i'm not a fan of the symmetrical design because the single side buttons on each side are not only tiny but placed too forward. this makes for usable but not the most comfortable of back/forward buttons. lastly, the finish of the shell is also far too shiny for my liking. the finish is a fingerprint magnet that if not kept clean will pull oils and dirt off your hands and fingers.

br /that said, i'm still giving the mouse 5 stars. when free from fingerprints, the mouse is absolutely stunning to look at. the chrome accents and glossy finish match my hp pavilion laptop very well. of course, one of the most important features of any wireless mouse is its battery life and this mouse is said to last 10 months with just a single AA battery; amazing. finally, there's the flawless tracking. using the latest bluetrack laser, you can really use it on just about any surface. so far it tracked well on my dark leather couch, my down comforter, my hairy thigh, and my girlfriend's sexy naked lower back. you'd of course have to adjust the speed of the sensitivity when tracking on the rougher surfaces but this mouse works as advertised.
Best wireless mouse I've used November 29, 2009 G. Hearn (Atlanta, Georgia) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm a big fan of this mouse for several reasons. . .
br /
br /*First and foremost, it simply works well. There's no "lag"
br /*Works on a variety of surfaces, though to be honest, I haven't really had much of a problem with that in the past.
br /*There's, of course, the left and right mouse buttons, but there's also a small button on the left side. . and right side.. . and you can also press the scroll wheel too. Once you install the software, you can choose what function you would like for each button (though the mouse comes "preset", you can change it all)
br /*The scroll wheel is smooth operating (not the "tick-tick-tick" of some wheels)
br /*Though the top of the mouse is smooth and glossy (some might say "sexy") the sides are a non-skid surface
br /*The USB "dongle" slides into the base of the mouse, which makes it very easy to take with you. There is a button to press which pops it out, so it's not like it would be possible for it to fall out and get lost.

br /The only thing that doesn't completely work for me is the size/shape. To be honest, I've used other mice that are more "comfortable", but this one is not bad. Though I don't think I have unusually large hands, I think it might be more comfortable for someone with a smaller hand than mine.
